Olivia is six years old. She loves to dance, play tag with her friends, and eat ice cream. Olivia is also transgender. In August 2018, she participated in the “#YesOn3MA: Trans Youth Share What Question 3 Really Means” video.
Our editor loved the shots of Olivia participating in dance class and playing with other kids. Watching the girls engage with Olivia, it is clear that her friends see her for who she is: a girl. The footage captured of these pure interactions embody what everyone needs to see about transgender people, especially transgender youth. Our editor made Olivia her own special video and we would love to share it with all of you!
Two years ago, the Massachusetts legislature passed a bill adding gender identity to the list of protected classes in public accommodations. On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, citizens will be voting on transgender human rights deciding if the law should be kept in place. This historical ballot question will set the stage for the future of transgender human rights across the country. Revoking this law would be a regression in Massachusetts for transgender rights.
Support transgender Massachusetts residents and vote YES on question 3!
