Bullying is anything that someone does to hurt you or make you feel bad about yourself. This can be done with negative words; written or spoken. It may also happen physically in the form of an act or gesture.
There 4 different types of bullying.
Physical bullying is when somebody hurts you or threatens to hurt you.
Mental, or non verbal bullying refers to all the types of behaviors that upset, exclude, or embarrass another person. (e.g. leaving a person out of a game or activity on purpose, making rude gestures such as poking tounge, writing hate notes about a person that will be upsetting to that person.)
Verbal bullying is speaking to a person or about a person in a way that is unkind and hurtful to that person. (e.g. teasing, name calling, spreading rumors, whispering.)
“Cyberbullying” is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen, teen using the internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones.
